European Commission Opens Antitrust Probe of Apple, eBook Publishers for Price Fixing

The European Commission has launched a formal investigation and opened an antitrust proceeding to determine whether Apple and several international publishers have agreed to fix prices of electronic books. The publishers listed in the survey include Hachette Livre, Harper Collins, Simon & Schuster, Penguin and Georg von Verlagsgrupe Holzbrinck.
